"Helping you create a healthier life one realistic step at a time."

Hi, I'm Megan Hryckowian-Mazur.  I'm a Physician Assistant (PA-C), Health & Wellness Coach, wife, mom of five, and the founder of Radiant Health by Megan.

For more than 10 years, I've had the privilege of caring for patients in family medicine, helping people manage conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, and many other chronic health concerns.

During those years, I discovered something: most people didn't need more information.  They needed someone to help them apply that information to everyday life.

That realization eventually led me to create Radiant Health by Megan and my signature coaching program, The Radiant Health Reset.

My Journey

Once Upon a Time...

I graduated from Physician Assistant school full of excitement and purpose, ready to help people live healthier lives.

My first job in family practice was everything I thought I wanted… until the overwhelming stress began taking a toll.  As the years went on and I started thinking about having a family, I could see my work-life balance slipping away. I was working long hours, bringing work home, and running on empty. I knew it wasn't the life I wanted to start a family in.

Leaving that job was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made. I loved my patients, my coworkers, and the work itself. But I also knew that if I didn't start taking care of myself, I couldn't continue caring for everyone else the way I wanted to.

The Change I Needed

I took a short pause from medicine and traveled to Europe, including attending a beautiful wedding in Italy. Looking back, that trip gave me the reset I didn't even realize I desperately needed.

I came home refreshed, returned to medicine, had my first baby, and began learning what it really meant to balance motherhood, a career, and my own health.

And that lesson became even more important when my own health started demanding my attention.

My Own Health Struggles

For years, I had experienced headaches and migraines, but eventually they became debilitating. At their worst, I was receiving injections in the back of my head just to find relief and help prevent them.

I tried both abortive and preventive medications. Some helped, but like so many people I had cared for, I didn't want to rely on a daily medication for the rest of my life if there were other things I could change.

So I started paying closer attention to my biggest triggers:

  • High stress

  • Not enough sleep

  • Not drinking enough water

It became a huge turning point for me.  Even as a healthcare provider, I had to recognize that when the foundations of my own health weren't being supported, my body let me know in a big way.

It reinforced something I now teach every day: nutrition, movement, stress management, and sleep aren't extras. They're foundational pieces of our health.

Those would eventually become my Four Pillars of Health.

Then the Pandemic Hit

Then came COVID-19—and with it, an entirely new level of stress.

I was pregnant again and sometimes working in nursing homes during one of the most frightening and heartbreaking periods I had ever experienced in healthcare.

The stress felt nonstop.

Eventually, for my health and the health of my baby, I made the difficult decision to step away from medicine again. This time, the decision felt different. It weighed heavily on me. But deep down, I knew it was the right thing to do.

A Blessing in Disguise

That time away ended up becoming an unexpected blessing.

A close family member experienced a serious health crisis, and because I wasn't working, I was able to be there for them in a way I never could have otherwise.

That experience brought me back to why I became a PA in the first place—to truly care for people.

To listen.  To educate.  To be present.  And to help without feeling rushed or distracted.

When I eventually returned to medicine, I worked hard to protect a healthier balance in my own life. But I also began looking at healthcare differently.  I couldn't ignore how difficult it had become to give people the time and education they deserved.

Insurance limitations, strict office protocols, and packed schedules meant there was only so much we could accomplish during a traditional office visit.

And yet, some of the conversations I believed mattered most—nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and the everyday habits that influence our long-term health—were often rushed or didn't happen at all.

I had seen firsthand, both professionally and personally, how powerful those pieces of health could be.  I wanted people to have the time to ask questions. I wanted them to understand why certain changes mattered. And I wanted to help them turn that knowledge into realistic changes they could actually make in their everyday lives.

That's when I discovered health coaching—and realized I had found the missing piece.

Health Coaching is finally giving me the opportunity to spend time truly educating and helping!

I realized it could bridge the gap for people who leave doctor’s visits feeling confused, overwhelmed, and without the answers they need. As a health coach, I can give the time, education, and personalized support that transforms health—not just for today, but for the long term.

At home, I’m raising five children with the same philosophy I bring to my clients: that small, daily choices matter. We talk about nutrition, sleep, movement, and managing stress—my Four Pillars of Health. We dance in the living room for fun, sneak extra veggies into dinner, and practice deep breathing when the day gets overwhelming (and yes—sometimes my kids are the ones reminding me to take a breath).

I’m not perfect. I still have my gummy bear weakness. But that’s real life. Healthy living isn’t about perfection—it’s about showing up every day, making better choices, and getting back on track when you slip.

My Four Pillars of Health

Over my years in medicine, I’ve seen the same struggles come up again and again. And I’ve learned that when all Four Pillars - nutrition, movement, stress, and sleep - are in balance, people feel better, think clearer, and have the energy they need to truly thrive.

Today, through Radiant Health by Megan, I combine my medical expertise with compassionate coaching to help people take control of their health, manage chronic conditions, and create a life they love. I’ll be your guide, your cheerleader, and the one in your corner reminding you - you can do this.

Because everyone deserves to feel vibrant, confident, and in control of their health.

We all deserve Radiant Health.

Official Bio - The Short Version

Megan Hryckowian-Mazur, is a board-certified Physician Assistant and health coach with over a decade of experience in family medicine. She’s the founder of Radiant Health by Megan, where she helps individuals with chronic conditions take control of their health through her Four Pillars of Health - nutrition, movement, stress, and sleep.

Megan lives in Michigan with her husband and five young children. You can often find her cooking healthy meals (while sneaking in extra veggies), having dance parties and doing crafts with her kids, enjoying the outdoors as a family or a (rare) quiet moment with a cup of tea - with the occasional gummy bear in hand.
